SBI recreantly released notification of SBI PO 2023. You can check it right here. In this post we are going to discuss SBI PO Syllabus 2023 of all subjects in detail. But before Starting lets see the examination pattern of SBI PO 2023

Examination Pattern:
Preliminary Exam:
As you know in Prelims there will test of 3 sections/subject namely: English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. In the table below you can the see the marks, sectional time and no. of questions for each section.

Note:
- There is No sectional cutoff in Prelims exam of SBI PO 2023.
- There will be negative marking of 1/4 marks for each wrong answer.
- It is of qualifying nature only.
Main Examination:
In the main Examination there will be test of 4 sections namely: General / Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude and Data Analysis & Interpretation. In the table below you can see breakup of no. of questions, Marks and sectional time for each section/ subject.

Note:
- There is No sectional cutoff in Main exam also and no minimum qualifying mark criteria.
- There will be negative marking of 1/4 marks for each wrong answer.
- The final merit will be according to your aggregate marks of all subjects.

You don’t have to study about computers for this section. Here computer aptitude means questions relating to Input & Output or New pattern coding decoding question that involve high level of logics.

- Alpha-numeric Series
- Order and ranking.
- Making judgments.
- Blood Relation
- Seating Arrangement Problems.
- Different Types of Puzzles
- Logical Reasoning/Critical Reasoning (Statement & Assumption/conclusion etc. type)
- Data Sufficiency.
Make sure to practice High level puzzles and seating arrangement. Every year SBI ask some new pattern questions in Mains Exam
Syllabus of English Language:
- Reading Comprehension (Including Vocabulary )
- Spotting Errors
- Cloze Test
- Fillers / Double Fillers
- Parajumbled Sentences
- Sentence Improvement
- Para Completion
- Essay and Letter writing (for Mains)
Basically you have to study Parts of Speech thoroughly with good command of vocabulary. There can be various ways to ask same question.
Syllabus General Awareness / Current Affairs / Banking Awareness:
- Current Affairs of Past 4 Months (From the date of Main Exam). Focus should be given to Banking & Finance News and News related to SBI.
- Static GK ( Country-Capital, Currency, National Park. Power Plant, Dams etc. )
- Banking and Financial Awareness (Including Economics)
NOTE: In SBI PO exam questions from this section is asked some what similar to UPSC exam where you need full knowledge about the topic. For example they can give a question about some govt scheme and ask which of the following is not correct. I hope you are getting what i am trying to say.
