State Bank of India released it much awaited notification for the post of Probationary Officer aka SBI PO 2018. This year there have been total 2000 fresh vacancies are to be filled. In the notification there has been some changes in the selection procedure. So lets discuss what are major highlights of the notification.

The number of chances will be counted from the examination held on 18.04.2010.
Appearing in Preliminary Examination will not be counted as a chance.
If you appear in examination in which there was only one examination were held then it will be counted as a chance.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
A. Essential Academic Qualifications: (AS ON 31.08.2018)
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification
recognised as such by the Central Government. - If you are in Final year or semester you can also apply but if you called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.08.2018.
- Candidates possessing qualification of Chartered Accountant may also apply.
B. Age Limit (As on 01.04.2018)
- Minimum – 21 Year
- Maximum – 30 Year
for example you must have been born not later than 01.04.1997 and not earlier than 02.04.1988 (both days inclusive).
There is provision for age relaxation on Upper limit of age, that you can find on official notification.
Selection Procedure for SBI PO 2018 EXAM
To be a Probationary Officer in SBI, you have to go through Three Phases.
PHASE I – Preliminary Examination ( Only Qualifying)
PHASE II – Main Examination ( Objective + Descriptive)
PHASE III – Group Exercise & Interview
This year there will be NO SECTIONAL CUT-OFF. You have to score minimum qualifying marks in aggregate.
